Sylvester Ritter better known in WWE as The Junkyard Dog was born on December 13, 1952. Junkyard Dog died on June 2, 1998, in a single-car accident as he was returning home from his daughter’s high school graduation. The apparent cause was falling asleep at the wheel.

You were and always will be my favorite wrestler. In 1985 when I was 12 years old I won the “Have Lunch With Your favorite Wrestler” contest. That is a day I will never forget and I tell my children about it all the time. RIP

I had no idea he was dead. To die right after his daughter’s gaduation was very tragic. This was one of my favorite wresters when I was a kid. RIP
