How to Quit Drinking

The word addiction can have two meanings. It can mean a behavioral abuse or a pathetic alcoholic. An alcohol abuser is a person who drinks in a manner that causes problems in his life like neglecting his responsibilities at work or home or continuing to drink despite relationship problems that it is causing. In the United States, most adults eighteen and above have this problem.
On the other hand, a pathetic alcoholic is one who is always feeling the need to drink even without intending to or drinking more than you intend to. This type of addiction is considered by many experts to be a chronic, or lifelong disease. However, since your case is different from that, you can take steps today to stop drinking. You should immediately see a doctor or you can also seek help from a support group. There are people who have the will to stop drinking on their own yet others need medical help to handle the withdrawal symptoms.
There is no help aside from having a right mindset. What can help is to contrast of make a list of why you want to drink and a list of why you want to quit. Post it in a place where you can see it often. Sharing your plan to quit with others will give you further help. They can always remind you of your plans.
